Breaking the Barrier Between Research and Practice: Real-Time Brain Function Imaging Comes to the Clinic

Breaking the Barrier Between Research and Practice: Real-Time Brain Function Imaging Comes to the Clinic
By Dr. Hilla Fogel, Ph.D. | CTO & Co-Founder, QuantalX Neuroscience
Excited to start 2026 strong, this is the time to share our technological evolution story.
When my Co-Founder, Dr. Iftach Dolev, and I set out to bring advanced neuroscientific tools into routine clinical practice, our goal was to create a single system capable of providing direct, objective neurophysiological data on brain-network function in a simplified and accessible way. We envisioned combining non-invasive brain stimulation and recording with advanced algorithms and analytics, making this level of insight available to non-expert clinical users. These technologies had long existed in research labs, but had never crossed into routine medical use because they required a high degree of technical, scientific, and analytical expertise, all manually implemented and unsuitable for daily workflows. With Delphi-MD™’s Functional Neuro-Imaging (FNI), that barrier has finally been broken.
Our Delphi-MD™ system unifies non-invasive magnetic stimulation with advanced electrophysiological recordings and intelligent analytics to reveal how brain networks actually respond and communicate, a true window into neural function. What once demanded complex laboratory setups can now be performed in a standard clinical room, collecting data and generating a functional brain report benchmarked to age-related normative data in under an hour.
This is not merely an engineering accomplishment; it represents a paradigm shift in neurological care. For the first time, physicians can access causal, reproducible data on brain activity, data that complements existing imaging modalities and behavioral assessments, rather than replacing or duplicating them. The result is a more complete, data-driven understanding of each patient’s neurological state.
The FDA De Novo clearance of Delphi-MD™ validates the rigor and reliability of our approach and opens the door to widespread adoption. As we expand deployment across hospitals and clinics, our mission remains clear: to make real-time brain-function imaging a standard part of patient evaluation and to empower clinicians with insights that have long been recognized as highly valuable and informative, but until now were available only to the research community.
QuantalX is now perfectly positioned to drive adoption of brain function testing that can transform brain-health decision-making across care settings worldwide.
